Health Status
*Jeancourt Prime SAMM and Afrino studs have all health certification required by both domestic and export veterinary authorities. We recently sold rams and ewes to China - all sheep passed both vetinery inspection and quarantine.
We are MN3 tested for Ovine Johnes disease ( and have tested negative for the past eleven years) and also vaccinate as a further precaution: SheepMAP Certificate S286-V.
*We are an Accredited Ovine Brucellosis-free Flock: Accreditation number: 1152
*We are able to send stock to WA and NSW using the Dick Smith Stud Stock carrier.
*The sheep breeds Prime SAMM / South African Meat Merino and Afrino do not require Mulesing. We have not Mulesed in our sheep enterprise for 12 years. Prime SAMM and Afrino are naturally bare breeched and plain bodied.
International Health Compliance issues
Jeancourt is located at Lochaber, near Naracoorte in the South East of South Australia, below the 36th Parallel, which means that we are export eligible as this complies with International Import protocols, including Argentina, New Zealand , China, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, United States,Canada and the Falkland Islands.
Located near Keith, 45 minutes from Lochaber, is Brecon Breeders, an accredited quarantine and export rated collection centre. One and a half hours away in Victoria is the Hamilton export laboratory.We are therefore able to assist with the provision of ovine seedstock in an economical and timely manner which ever company you choose.
